Warsteiner Oktoberfest

I like German beer. I like the Warsteiner Premium Verum and figured we couldn't go wrong with something from our friends at Warsteiner. I was mostly right. :) Warsteiner Oktoberfest, while not the most solid beer on the blog came through with a pretty good taste. I wouldn't go so far as to say it was a "festive taste experience" but I would say it comes through a bit different than normal... different in a good way. That is a good thing, though, since I paid $14.99 for a 12 pack of 11.2oz bottles. A bit on the spendy side, to be honest.
The beer tastes like a dark lager with a bit of spice in there for good measure. It comes through a bit rough, but the finish is clean and a bit roasty and it trails off nicely. The fact that this beer isn't just like all the others is a good thing and offsets the fact that it is pricey.
In the end, though, it doesn't really impress and I can't say it will make it back into the fridge.
Update: I almost forgot and thankfully Vinny reminded me... I wasn't the only one with an opinion... quote of the night from the guy next door, "Tasty and full bodied like the Governor of Alaska." Classic. :)
